RECOMMENDATION:
Share design and operational improvements that have been formed with the School Safety Program team.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Staff will present findings of field reviews and planned design and operational improvements to enhance safety conditions in the areas of El Rincon Elementary School, as well as the area surrounding Farragut Elementary, Culver City Middle and Culver City High Schools.
Improvements include channelizing islands, ADA compliant curb ramps, and enhancements to signage and pavement markings. The improvements have been vetted with the School Safety Program team including representatives of Culver City Council, Culver City Unified School District, Walk n’ Roller School Safety Program Manager, and the schools including parent volunteers,
