RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission discuss alternate dates for the July 2, 2019 Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission meeting.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the May 7, 2019 meeting, the PRCS Commission requested a report outlining alternate dates and locations for the July 2, 2019 meeting due to its proximity to the July 4th holiday. There was no request for an adjustment to the meeting time, so the rooms listed below are available for a meeting beginning at 7:00 PM.
The dates listed for the Mike Balkman Council Chambers were available as of May 30, 2019. Should one of these be the preferred date, staff will check during the course of this evening's meeting to confirm that Council Chambers is still available on that date.
Between June and August each year, PRCS Department Summer Camps utilize the large rooms at the Veterans Memorial Building between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Due to high demand, room availability is also limited until after 7:00 PM at the facility. Therefore, staff is only able to offer one potential evening meeting date at the Veterans Memorial Building.
