RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Civil Service Commission (Commission) Ad Hoc Subcommittee (Subcommittee) provide a report from their meeting with the City Council Equity Subcommittee related to creating a Human Relations Committee, and that the Commissioners provide any feedback they may have to staff.
BACKGROUND
On April 18, 2019 the Subcommittee met with the City Council Equity Subcommittee and received information relating to the Commission’s powers and duties in relation to the role and function of the proposed Human Relations Committee, and received comments from the Civil Service Commission ad hoc subcommittee in this regard.
The purpose of tonight’s agenda item is to allow the Subcommittee to report to the full Commission information shared with the City Council Equity Subcommittee during their meeting.
