RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) provide input on four (4) draft chapters of the Bicycle & Pedestrian Action Plan (BPAP).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
In 2017, the City is embarked on an 18-month process to generate a citywide Bicycle & Pedestrian Action Plan. This new plan will update and build on the 2010 Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan and will develop up to three specific projects identified as high priorities through the analysis and public process. The BPAC is the primary advisory body for the development of this plan.
The City has contracted with Alta Planning & Design to complete the Action Plan have the following draft chapters for review by the BPAC:
1. Chapter 1: Introduction and Context
2. Chapter 2: Existing Conditions
3. Chapter 3: Community Input
4. Chapter 4: Network Recommendations
Alta will seek to present this material, collect input regarding the prioritization methodology for the presented recommendations and collect suggestions for non-infrastructure program that the BPAC is interested in including in this Action Plan.
