RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the renaming of the standing City Council Subcommittee currently named "Traffic and Parking Subcommittee" to "Mobility, Traffic, and Parking Subcommittee".
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the May 12, 2015 City Council meeting, the City Council created an Ad Hoc Traffic and Parking Subcommittee to meet as issues arose and to work on issues related to traffic mitigation and parking issues. It soon became apparent that there was a need to use this subcommittee for discussion and consideration of on-going parking and traffic issues that was beyond the scope intended when the Subcommittee was originally established. So at the June 6, 2017 City Council meeting, the City Council adopted a motion to reestablish the ad hoc subcommittee as a standing subcommittee and be renamed the Standing Traffic and Parking Subcommittee.
At the January 8, 2019 Traffic and Parking Subcommittee meeting, the Subcommittee made a recommendation to change the name of the Subcommittee to "Mobility, Traffic, and Parking Subcommittee".
