RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt an Ordinance (Attachment No. 1) approving Zoning Code Amendment P2018-0191-ZCA related to special event centers.
BACKGROUND
On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended the City Council approve the Zone Amendment with the provisions that:
* Existing language related to opening receptions for art galleries remain unchanged in Chapter 17.520 Temporary Use, Special Events and Temporary Event Permits under section B-4;
* Exempts events held in Special Event Centers as defined by the Municipal Code from obtaining special event permits for special events;
