RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council fill a vacancy for Seat No. 1 on the Fiesta La Ballona Committee for an unexpired term ending October 31, 2020.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION:
At the City Council Meeting of June 25, 2018, the City Council directed staff to contact previous applicants who were not appointed to a Commission, Board, or Committee (CBC) to gauge their interest in being considered to fill future unscheduled vacancies on CBCs. The Fiesta La Ballona Committee vacancy was created by the resignation of Tashon McKeithan, effective September 13, 2018. The appointment will be for an unexpired partial term, which ends on October 31, 2020.
The City Clerk's Office reached out to the pool of four (4) eligible prior applicants on September 19, 2018 via email. Applicants were invited to provide any updates regarding their applications.
