RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution approving an encroachment agreement with Freedom Communications, LLC (Wilcon) for use of the public right-of-way to install three 147 foot conduits for fiber optic cable starting in the alley behind 11204 Sepulveda Boulevard, continuing westward, crossing Braddock Drive and ending in the alley at 4411 Sepulveda Boulevard.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Wilcon is proposing to install three conduits for a new fiber optic pathway for their private customer at 4411 Sepulveda Boulevard.
The work involves installing three new underground conduit and fiber optic lines. The route begins at an existing Wilcon vault located in the alley at the southwest corner of 11204 Sepulveda Boulevard. The conduits will run westwards, crossing Braddock Drive and continuing along the alley 147 feet to a proposed new vault at 4411 Sepulveda Boulevard.
