RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve the non-monetary City Sponsorship of Leadership Culver City (Program).


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

This nine-month Program is presented through the partnership of West Los Angeles College, the Exchange Club of Culver City, Culver City Chamber of Commerce, and the Center for Non-Profit Management and will be held at West Los Angeles College, beginning in September 2018. On April 16, 2018, Council Member Clarke received City Council consensus to agendize a discussion to have the City of Culver City become a supporting organization for the Program. City Council approval is necessary in order for the Program to use the City logo and for City staff to distribute program and application information through the City's email notification system (Gov Delivery), and through the City's website and Social Media channels.
