RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council (1) approve an agreement with BEST Construction Services, Inc. (BEST) for the repair of the City Hall parking structure entrance/exit ramps in an amount not-to-exceed $60,000.00; and (2) authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to approve amendments to such agreement not-to-exceed $6,000 for contingencies.

The slip resistant surface coating on the entry into the City Hall parking structure was last repaired back in 2009. Recently it has again begun to show deterioration resulting from heavy volume of vehicle traffic, weather conditions and age.

Public Works staff received the following three quotes for the proposed work:

* BEST Construction Services, Inc............................$60,000.00
* Anning Johnson Company.......................................$63,800.00
