RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) dissolve the Ad Hoc Subcommittee Pertaining to Revising the Structure of the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation, create a new ad hoc subcommittee to liaise with the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation (CCCAF), and appoint two commissioners to that subcommittee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
In November 2016, the CAC created the Ad Hoc Subcommittee Pertaining to Revising the Structure of the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation and appointed Chair Dickter and Vice Chair Wisnosky Stehlin to that subcommittee. That subcommittee's work is concluded with City Council action taken on March 12, 2018 and the subcommittee should be dissolved.
Per the MOU approved by the City Council on March 12, 2018, the CAC ".....may create a subcommittee to liaise, cooperate and communicate the City's priorities with the CCCAF" (MOU Section 5, E). Staff recommends that a new ad hoc subcommittee be created at this time and two commissioners appointed to that ad hoc subcommittee through June 2019 as the CCCAF already had one meeting in April and is planning one or more before the end of FY 2017-18.
