RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) receive updates from staff on the FY 2017-18 Cultural Affairs work plan, an overview of the proposed FY 2018-19 Cultural Affairs work plan and budget priorities, and provide comments and/or make a recommendation to the City Manager and City Council, as appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
As was the case in prior years, each of the City's Commissions, Committees and Boards have an opportunity to provide input related to the budget and work plan for FY 2018-19 before the City Manager presents his proposed budget to the City Council on May 14, 2018. The City Council is tentatively scheduled to receive individual department presentations on next year's proposed budget and work plan on May 21 and June 4, 2018. The FY 2018-19 budget is scheduled for adoption on June 25, 2018. CAC members are welcome to attend any of these meetings.
Staff will provide a summary update on the FY 2017-18 Cultural Affairs work plan followed by an overview of the FY 2018-19 Cultural Affairs work plan and budget priorities.
