RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an agreement with Ace Fencing Company in the amount of $58,750 to Ace Fencing Company for the replacement of fencing at Fire Department Radio Tower, Project PF-001
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
This Fiscal Year's adopted Capital Improvement Project budget includes the replacement of chain link fencing at the bottom and top of the Radio Tower property located adjacent to the Culver Park upper sports fields.
The work consists of the following:
Replace 570 linear feet of chain link fencing
Replace six foot high wrought iron gate
Reinforce 380 linear feet of chain link fencing
Furnish and install 20 warning signs on fence.
Furnish and install additional barbed wire on existing fence
Additional reinforcement of existing chain link fencing
Additional barbed wire along gate and fencing
Three Contractors attended a meeting at the Radio Tower property to review the scope of work and were asked to provide a quote for the fencing work. Ace Fencing provided a proposal to conduct the fencing replacement work. The other two Contractors declined to provide a quote.
