RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council appoint members to the Civil Service Commission; Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (1 Resident Position); Fiesta La Ballona Committee; Finance Advisory Committee (1 Local Business Position); Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1 Tenant Position); and the LAX International Airport Community Noise Roundtable (Representative and Alternate.)
BACKGROUND
On October 23, 2017, the City Council directed the City Clerk to hold a special recruitment to fill positions across several Commissions, Boards, and Committees ("CBCs") that had been vacated during the past year.
There are a total of 8 openings across 6 bodies as follows: Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (1) ; Civil Service Commission (1) ; Fiesta La Ballona Committee (2); Finance Advisory Committee (1); Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1); LAX International Airport Community Noise Roundtable (2).
