RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve a professional services agreement with Land Images Landscape Architecture ("Land Images") to provide design and construction administration services for the AIP Phase III and Phase IV projects in an amount not-to-exceed $52,675.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The City has successfully spurred reinvestment along West Washington Boulevard with the Area Improvement Plan (AIP) that included a mix of loans, small grants, street graphics and public improvements. In May 2017, the City Council authorized staff to proceed with the completion of the Phase IV project, comprised of seven medians on Washington Boulevard between Beethoven Street and Glencoe Avenue.
Progression of the AIP Phase IV project has been impacted by Public Works' West Washington Storm Water Infiltration project slated to begin in Spring 2018.
